Frequently asked questions…..

Do you deliver outside of Herefordshire?

Yes, we deliver our yurts anywhere in the UK. The costs will vary depending on the distances and charges are made on a round trip basis per mile. So if it were 50 miles from our base at HR3 6QF, you would be charged delivery for 100 miles. Please see delivery charges by clicking here.

Are the yurts weather proof?

Our yurts come with fully water proofed and rot proofed cotton canvas. When the weather is inclement outside, you will feel cosy, ¬†warm and dry in a yurt. It’s a great space to retreat from some of the worst of the british summer while still feeling in touch with the outdoors.

How do I pay?

You can pay by cheque, transfer or cash. We ask for a 35% deposit to secure all bookings, with the remaining balance to be settled upon erection of hired yurts. Damage deposits will be refunded within 7 days of the end of the event.

Why do I pay a damage deposit?

This is mainly to ensure that care is taken with our tents. Of course fair wear and tear is accepted, but lots of wine stains, oil (yes we have had it!), graffiti (I couldn’t believe it either!) or taking scissors to canvas take time to repair and sometimes it may be necessary to replace material, so damage deposits cover these possibilities. I must stress that we are exceptionally reasonable when it comes to assessing damage or fair wear and tear and will always discuss this with you should the need arise.

Do you hire tables and chairs?

Yes we do! We now have available for hire our hand finished wooden tables and benches. Each 6 ft table can seat 8 people using two benches. You can of course use tables hired from somewhere else should you prefer, but we feel our wooden tables go very well with the yurts! If benches aren’t your preferred choice, we can of course source chairs for you, either lime wash banqueting chairs or slatted wooden chairs. Click here for some example table layouts.

Can yurts be joined together?

Yes our yurts can be joined together to form pods. Some join better than others, e.g. our 9ft yurts wouldn’t be suitable to join onto our 60ft yurt. The most suitable for joining onto our 60ft Wedding and Event Yurt is our 26ft yurt.

What if we want something we can’t see on your website?

Just ask! We have a wide¬†network of associates and other companies we have worked with, and as such are able to source most sizes of yurt as well as extras such as table and chair hire, crockery hire, bands and musicians etc, so please don’t hesitate to ask should you want something you can’t see.

If there’s something we don’t have that we think would be more suitable for your event we will suggest it. We have links with a variety of different companies that we can recommend.

How much space do I need to allow for the yurts?

This varies from yurt to yurt, but generally it will be the size of the hired yurt plus 4m onto the diameter to allow for guy ropes and pegging down. It is normally best to get in touch to talk about you site and the specific yurt you hire. For our larger structures, such as our Wedding and Event Yurt, stakes need to be driven into the ground a depth of 3ft.

Do I need event insurance?

It is a standard arrangement when hiring any form of equipment that the hirer/client is fully responsible for all loss or damage incurred during the hire period. The value of yurts and their equipment will often extend into thousands of pounds and it is therefore important that the equipment is properly insured. We have full public liability, but equipment is signed over to the client for the duration of the hire. It is possible to get event insurance, this can be found by doing a quick internet search.
